Go out and try something that just isn’t you!  Pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read.  Get off the couch and go for that walk you want to take.  Pick up the phone to forgive a friend who has hurt you.

Try anything that you would normally just pass by because it’s just not you.  Try it now and see the change in your life that you seek!

Have a great day!

When There is a Will There is a Way

29 Mar

Happy Monday everyone!  What a glorious day it is today!  I hope you all had a great weekend!

As I mentioned last week, Monday has been declared cliché day.  Today, I have a wonderful cliché that when applied, can mean the difference between average and excellent results in your life.

It can mean the difference between finishing your goals and achieving your optimal results and just being average and meager.

Don’t take this one lightly…although very simple, this phrase is very powerful.  The meaning is very powerful.

“When There is a Will There is a Way!”

Because of this one simple phrase, humanity has accomplished things that would otherwise be thought of or seen as impossible.  Because of the will, we have sent people to the moon, created television, planes, automobiles, computers, cell phones, etc…

The WILL, this one basic intellectual factor is responsible for almost every accomplishment we have ever seen.

So ask yourself, how many times have you heard this?  How many times have you said it?  How many times have you heard this without even giving it a second thought?  My challenge is to give it some real thought today.

Have you started a task and never finished it.  How many times?  Was it a diet?  An exercise program?  A failed relationshsip?  A career?

Are you getting the results that you want?  Are you doing the things that you really want to do?  Do you live your life doing the things that you love to do?

Well, today’s cliché is packed with power information that will help you realize all of your goals.

You see, the reason we quit is because of a weakness in the will.  It is a failure to maintain the laser focus required to accomplish our goals.  Fortunately for us the will can be strengthened or exercised.

Think about this for a minute.  Most people live in a world governed primarily by their five senses.  Hear, taste, smell, touch, see.  As such, most people live in a reactive state to the forces of the outside world around them.

It’s only natural.  From the day we were born, everything that we learned first came through the five senses.  So, when we are setting off on our path to reach for one of our goals, if we do not have a strong will, the forces outside of us will naturally win and stop us from reaching our desired destination.

So learn to develop your will.  Work on it daily.  Focus on simple tasks to their completion.  Don’t eat that extra piece of pizza just because it there.  Get up and go for that walk or jog, especially when don’t “feel like it”.  Sit down and read for 10 minutes without distraction.

When you find yourself drifting, or being influenced by the outside forces, catch yourself, and refocus.  Focus until you accomplish what you originally set out to.

You see, because of the larger task at hand, the end result, we get so overwhelmed with the final goal or destination that we fail to focus on the small things.  Focusing on the small things, focusing on them until their completion, will help you strengthen your will.  And if you continue to focus, you will get to where you want.

And the wonderful part is, you can have anything that you want.  You can set any goal that you want.  There is no limit to the size of what you can acquire.  Health, wealth, spirituality, relationships…they are all yours…all of them…as much of them as you want…if you remember and apply this one simple teaching…

“When there is a WILL, there is a way!”

Develop your will, find your way!

Andrew.

P.S.  In addition to the Will, there are 5 other intellectual mental faculties that we all have.  Learn to develop all of them, and you will be on the express highway to your dreams!

March Madness is Madness

21 Mar

Do you like basketball?  I’ve always liked basketball.  I enjoy playing with friends, getting out and letting the competitive spirit run loose.  I enjoy the sun and the fresh air.  Basketball is really fun.

I’m sure there are many folks that feel the same way I do.  But then, I think of March Madness.  March Madness is here.  March Madness is exciting.  March Madness is a craze.  March Madness is one of the biggest wastes of time.

March is Madness.  Every year, Monday through Friday, people sit in front of their televisions, looking at their phones, reading the newspapers, checking their computer, talking to their friends…wasting their time!

Do you realize how many people’s lives are revolving around college basketball right now?  Do you know how many people are spending hours and hours in front of the television to watch basketball?

What do you think about this craze?

I’m not saying not to watch basketball or do the things that you enjoy.  I’m not saying to leave your friends hanging when you get the invite for a game and a cold one.

What I am saying is this.  We only have 24 hour in a day.  Make sure that you use them wisely.  Use the time to work on something that will help you improve your current situation.  Use the time to become better person.  Use the time to enjoy your family.  Use the time to become healthier, wealthier and more spiritual.

March Madness has nothing to do with helping you get better results in your life.  It has nothing to do with you growing as a person.

I think March Madness is a wonderful metaphor for our daily lives.  How many of us spend our time doing things that are insignificant?  How many of us are reactive to the world going on around us?  How many of us feel like we are spinning out of control?  How much of your days pass without doing anything significant, anything productive?

The biggest complaint I hear from most people when they want change in their life is that they don’t have enough time.  We all have exactly the same time everyday.  24 hours.  Or 1440 minutes.  Or, 86,400 seconds.

My challenge to you is this.  Evaluate the “madness” in your life.  Look at your daily habits, your daily activities.  Ask yourself…Is this getting me closer to where I really want to go?  Is this getting me closer to my goals?  Is this getting me closer to my dreams?  If not, then seriously consider replacing them with something that will.

Give it a shot.  I assure you that the results will astound you!

As always, please let me know your thoughts on the subject.  Let me know if you’ve made the change.  Please leave your comments in the comments section.  I hope to hear wonderful news!

P.S.  If after asking yourself the questions in my challenge towards the end of this post you realize that you don’t have any dreams or goals…you’ve made a wonderful breakthrough!
